I received this as a review copy, and I liked it so much I ordered the series--they should be in soon! Illustrated with clear, engaging photos, this series offers a personal narration by the author, and covers an overview of the cultural group, a timeline, and then sections on innovations that the culture brought to the world, in categories such as technology, architecture and medicine. Text is in boxes, but rather than being choppy, it enhances the attractive, magazine-like format.
